School Safety Summit 2024




Welcome to the 2nd Annual School Safety Summit! This one-day event is designed to bring together school leaders, counselors, teachers, school nurses, law enforcement, and  Behavioral Threat Assessment Team members (SSSP Team) to network and learn from various professional disciplines committed to building safe and healthy school communities.

The Safety Summit will be held at Region 16 and will feature leading experts in school safety and mental health who will share their insights and knowledge on how to promote safe and supportive learning environments. The summit will feature a keynote presentation and break-out sessions facilitated by experts in the fields of safety, education, law enforcement, mental health, and technology. Participants will have opportunities to engage in collaborative problem-solving and gain practical insights to implement in their respective school communities.

The summit will include a keynote presentation - Molly Hudgens:  Dissection & Intervention of an 'Almost' School Shooter: How Recognizing Red Flags Can Prevent Tragedy.

We encourage anyone interested in ensuring the safety and well-being of their school community to attend.
